In addition to providing a share of vegetables and/or eggs grown here at Sundog Farm, we partner with other local farms and businesses to offer additional share options. You can choose to add-on weekly bread, coffee or apples (in the fall). Being a CSA member also gives you the opportunity to access other local products like fruit or Thanksgiving turkeys on a more limited basis when they’re available.

Weekly Share Add-ons

Bread Shares are provided by the Local Crumb, a small bakery located in Cedar Rapids run by head baker Aaron Hall. The Local Crumb focuses on naturally leavened breads, spotlighting organic Iowa milled flours creating  crusty breads with an airy crumb. Check out his website to sign up for his newsletter for other opportunities to find his delicious bread.

The coffee share is provided by Wake Up Iowa. Wake Up Iowa coffee beans are thoughtfully selected, roasted in small batches and packaged with love in Iowa City. We work with farmers across the world, many of whom are certified organic, fair trade and even biodynamic.  They work everyday to bring the best coffee to the hardworking people in the state of Iowa.

Fall apple shares are provided by Buffalo Ridge Orchard. Vern and Mary Zahradnik started Buffalo Ridge Orchard in 2003 by planting apple trees on their traditional 80-acre farm. Their daughter Emma and her partner Marcus have joined the farm team, and the farm has now evolved to become a local vegetable farm and orchard with over 5,500 trees.
