In addition to providing a share of vegetables grown here at Sundog Farm, we partner with other local farms and businesses to offer additional share options. You can choose to add-on weekly eggs, bread, coffee, or flowers to your share, or coffee or flowers every-other-week. Being a CSA member also gives you the opportunity to access other local products like fruit, pork, or Thanksgiving turkeys on a more limited basis when they’re available. Read more about the other farms and businesses we partner with on Our Partners page.

Weekly and Bi-weekly Share Add-ons

Bread Shares are provided by the Local Crumb, a small bakery located in Mount Vernon run by head baker Aaron Hall. The Local Crumb focuses on naturally leavened breads, spotlighting organic Iowa milled flours creating  crusty breads with an airy crumb. You can also find Aaron’s bread at the Winter Saturday Mt Vernon Farmer’s Market or the summer Iowa City Farmer’s Market.

The coffee share is provided by Wake Up Iowa. Wake Up Iowa coffee beans are thoughtfully selected, roasted in small batches and packaged with love in Iowa City. We work with farmers across the world, many of whom are certified organic, fair trade and even biodynamic.  They work everyday to bring the best coffee to the hardworking people in the state of Iowa.

Flower shares are provided by Over the Moon Farm and Flowers, a small farm in Coggon. Farmers Anna and Shae provide weekly bouquets that will feature a variety of seasonal, organically-grown florals, and include a description of the flowers you are receiving. You can expect bouquets with at least ten flowers including plenty of household staples such as lilacs, peonies, sunflowers, and zinnias, as well as a range of flowers you might not see as often like celosia, strawflowers, and eucalyptus.
